Conservation

Trinity River Audubon Center, designed by 2006 AIA Gold Medalist architect Antoine Predock, is the first LEED-certified building constructed by the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department. Its green features include a vegetated roof, rainwater collection system, energy efficient systems, and recycled materials. The center is surrounded by 200 acres of reclaimed habitat, once an illegal landfill, now a haven for over 200 species of birds and other wildlife in the Great Trinity Forest, prairie and wetland habitat, and the Great Trinity Forest.  Read more here about our conservation efforts and how you can help.
