FAQ:

Q: Can I submit more than one entry?

A: You can submit as many entries as you like, but you'll need to fill out a submission form and pay the entry fee each time. The $10 fee helps fund the Audubon Center's conservation and education work here in Dallas.

Q: How many winners are there?

A: Every submission category (Birds, Wildlife, Plants, Landscape, and Youth) will have one winner and one runner up except for Birds, which will have two winners and two runners up. From the 6 winners, judges will choose one grand prize winner. This means there are a total of 6 winners and 6 runners up. The judges may also select honorable mentions to be featured on social media.

Q: Do I need a fancy camera to enter?

A: No! iPhone photos are perfectly acceptable so long as they meet the other eligibility requirements.

Q: How are the winners chosen?

A: A panel of judges will score photographs on Technical Quality, Originality, and Artistic Merit. The judges will then determine the winners from the top scoring submissions.

Q: Can photos be edited?

A: Normal processing of the original file is acceptable. Photographs that have been digitally or otherwise altered beyond standard optimization will be disqualified, please see full rules and guidelines for more details.
