Volunteer Eco-Educators

Enrich the lives of thousands of children by leading a 4-hour educational field trip program.

Trinity River Audubon Center serves approximately 20,000 students a year with outdoor programming that sparks curiosity about our North Texas home environment, increases comfort levels in the outdoors, and promotes respect for all living things. You could be part of this incredible movement just by donating your free time.

Do you like working with kids? School groups visit our center and we engage them with a hands-on environmental education program. Students of all ages are introduced to the trails, exhibit hall, and wet-lab to learn about ecosystems and the environment. We are looking for people to help lead and guide groups of students through this program. It is so much fun to show kids a wild world which some have never seen!

This position occurs weekdays (Monday–Friday) during the school year from 9am-2pm. Volunteers learn by shadowing our current eco-educators until they feel comfortable enough to teach on their own with flexible assignments and schedules.
